I have hardwood floors in my kitchen. We made the mistake to use Maple for the flooring as we wanted a light colour. We realize this was a bad choice as the Kitchen is our highest traffic area. Anway. We have all these little "dents" that are caused by the kitchen table and chairs. I had protecitve pads glued to the bottom of the chair, but it has made no difference. What's the best solution? Is it possible to get the floor sanded and then refinished? This is only a problem in the area of the room where the kitchen table and chairs are located. The hardwood from what I recall was installed pre-finished.
Answer:
The floor can be sanded and re-finished and the dents will go but there is no reason for the dents other than carelessness.
