Question:

I had old linenoleum floor in my bathroom. Started pulling it up and some of the back stayed and didn't come off. Is there a way to get it off. I'm havin a hard time getting it off. Also my arms between my elbow and hand is red and itchy and burning, kind of like I got into some fiber glass. Is there anything to worry about?

Answer:

your arm's condition is something your doctor should know about because it could have been caused by any number of things in the flooring, adhesive, wood, etc. Now, to get rid of the old vinyl flooring, take up the quarter-inch plywood underlayment under it and the flooring is gone. Al this means that you'll have to replace the underlayment before putting in new flooring.
