Question:

I have a six unit, 2 ½” story apartment building that was built approx. in 1959. There is some copper tubing in the kitchen behind where the fridges go. They are double lines, one 3/8” line and one ¼” line (I could be off by a 1/8” on both those measures). Starting from the top floor, the two lines are capped and terminated. From there they go to the unit below that ties into the lines on the first floor (which are also capped). From there I have no idea where they go and if they have some liquid in them. I am guessing that they my have been used for water fridges, if they existed but I would like to figure this out because they are in the way and I don’t want to create a mess in the units.

Answer:

I don't have time to deal with photos or other attachements anyway. You'll have to get an appliance specialist in there because you don't know what may be in those lines and if its a gas of some kind, you could be in real danger when they're opened.

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
