awhile back i plugged a vacum into wall plug it also had an air freshner in it to.all of a sudden the light grew dim and then went out .know there is no power to either the light switch or wall plug . do not have breakers just fuses .they are ok need advice.

I'm taking for granted that this is not a new house and my advice is to get an electrician in there with a meter because I think one of the conductors in that circuit has broken off for one reason or another and that has to be addressed before it causes a fire.
