Question:

what kind of ventilation system or exhaust fan should be used for sawdust and oil paint & solvent fumes per square footage in a workshop/studio? If using only an extractor fan, by what percentage does it increase heating costs? Would that increased cost justify the expense of a heat recovery unit?

Answer:

You're into a technical situation where ou'll need a profesional's opinion and I am a handyman. I would not follow the instructions of any but a professional in this case because of the health risks that are involved.
