Question:
Hi:
I am renting a house with apartments in the basement. One of those tenants is a smoker and her cigarette smoke makes its way up to my place. I have asthma and this is causing severe discomfort. Is there anything that can be done to stop her smoke getting to me?

Sorry for the delay
There is nothing that can be done as smoke will infiltrate thoughout the residence. You could try using an odour control unit made by Rubbermaid available at Home Depot or a smoke eliminator spray also available at Home Depot.
